My Work

Tiny works

As of late I have been working rather small, enjoying the challenge of manipulating tiny pieces of metal. This pair of earrings in particular is four layers of copper cut outs, hammered for texture and to give it a much more organic look. Each layer is then pierced, threaded on to a silver plated head pin, then bent upwards and overlapping to create the swirl effect. After the flower is formed I then bend the head pin to the typical hook earring shape. The final steps involve cleaning, painting, and coating with a sealant. Dainty, simple, and fun.
